Starting from Monday 30 September 2024, until 28 October 2024
at St Peter’s Church Littleover
There are 2 courses running on the same day - at 1pm-3pm or 7pm-9pm
Both courses are now FULL. Please contact us for details of future courses
Living in Love and Faith is a landmark project from the Church of England to help us to discuss Christian teaching and learning about identity, sexuality, relationships and marriage.
Each week will begin with the course commitments (see below) and then we will share films, questions and discussion in small breakout groups. We will keep you in the same group throughout the course so you really need to commit to attend all the sessions.

When you find parts of the course challenging there are LLF chaplains available.
We hope to create a space to share experience, discuss theology and explore together, it is NOT to convince people to one particular interpretation of theology or way of thinking, so please come with openness and a readiness to hear others without judgement.
St Peter’s Church is the Parish church for Littleover and Blagreaves. We are an open evangelical church and believe the Word and heart of God is found in the Scriptures. And we are also open to learning more together about how we can include all who are known and loved by God. We don’t profess to have all the answers but we want to know how we can share the love of God with those outside of the Church.

Living in Love and Faith Course Commitments

In our learning and meeting together we commit to:
-
Holding each other before God in prayer
-
Praying for the presence and guidance of the Holy Spirit in all our conversations
-
Learning together from Scripture and from each other
-
Enabling everyone to speak
-
Making space for those whose voices have not yet been heard to contribute – but without putting people on the spot if they don’t wish to speak
-
Avoiding interrupting each other, instead acknowledging what others say before moving on to have our say
-
Keeping confidential anything personal that is shared
-
Taking care about how we speak about others who are not in the room
-
Looking out for and being sensitive to people’s feelings
-
Giving each other time to reflect before sharing with others
-
Taking time out as a group from time to time, offering one another an opportunity to say if there is anything in the discussion they have found difficult but haven’t been able to express
-
Learning together how we can live more fully in the way of Christ.
